Elemental Yoga Therapy

Many ancient traditions see reality in terms of the five elements - earth, water, fire, wind, and space in Ayurveda or earth, water, fire, metal, and wood in Traditional Chinese Medicine. These five elements symbolically represent states of matter and metabolism. By observing these elements in their raw forms in nature, we can better understand how they appear and function within our bodies - a microcosm of the macrocosm. Element Yoga Therapy basically looks into the Elements of Nature as a source of wisdom on finding harmony within ourselves.

How the five elements combine within us gives us our unique identity (like DNA) and is also what contributes to our emotional, mental, and physical tendencies and imbalances.

Elemental Yoga Therapy unites the wisdom of Ayurveda and Chinese Medicine with the knowledge of Shiatsu and classical Hatha Yoga.

How is Elemental Yoga Therapy different from traditional Yoga Therapy?

With Elemental Yoga Therapy, we bring the Elements of Nature into our own practice through visualization, metaphor, and ritual, as well as coming in tune with Nature's rhythms through seasonal and daily cycles.

How does Elemental Yoga Therapy work for different people?

Holistic programs are developed and specially designed for each person based on constitution and physical, mental and emotional health.

These can include tailor-made yoga sequences working with the meridian pathways, breathwork, lifestyle guidance such as diet and exercise, and meditation.
