The COVID 19 pandemic is very fluid here in California . Numbers are now ramping down , but that could change . As a result , projecting events and dates in a bulletin board need to be read with that in mind . If you are planning to visit a location or attend an event . Call ahead and make sure of the onsite situation before making final plans .
Lake Pardee , located on the Mokelumne River near Ione , features top-notch trout fishing for shore anglers . Just ask Raymond Morales of Stockton , who won first place in the NorCal Trout Anglers Challenge ( NTAC ) event at Pardee on Saturday , October 10 with his 4.94 lb . rainbow trout that he caught on a Kastmaster . The popular lake and recreation area will close for the season on November 1 .
