On my second visit a few years
ago with my grandchildren, I was
talking generally to one of the Senior
Managers within Disney World about
attendances, and to my amazement he
informed me that over 40,000 visitors
regularly attend Magic Kingdom during
major holidaysforcing the closure of
the gates and diverting people on to
Animal Kingdom. He pointed out the
necessity to book tickets in advance to
guarantee your entrance at peak times,
as thousands of people are regularly
disappointed during these periods –
often having travelled from all over the
world and without any conception of the
possibility of being declined entrance.
The infrastructure around the various
parks is simply breathtaking, with their
own dedicated highways, car parks,
shuttle buses and schedule bus services
between the parks.
The arrival of the Space Mountain ride
attracted a lot of publicity world wide
