Wolverton Manor Garden Fair 2017

Days out

Making the most of Saturdays sunshine , people flocked to the annual Wolverton Manor Garden Fair .
Parking was organised by the Brighstone Sea Scouts who were kept busy as the spaces were continuously full . A plethora of both Island and mainland nurseries had stalls and sold specialist plants . Kayaking , archery and shooting kept the young ones busy and faux Elizabethans demonstrated dancing , cooking and still room practice . The Falcons , ‘ Hug a Huskie ’ and Bloodhounds were all popular . The craft tents and Poultry Club were both busy with people taking an interest . In an area of their own were speakers giving talks on bats and red squirrels . For those who enjoy more mechanical interest there were a selection of classic cars and military vehicles . A wide choice of food was provided by the various catering outlets , meaning there was something to eat for everyone . Unfortunately the weather on Sunday was appalling , but AGEUKiw still managed to benefit substantially from the Fairs fund-raising .
