Party time at Monkey Haven
Monkey Haven is in the party mood this
Autumn to celebrate being nominated
as one of the top attractions in the
South. The primate rescue centre just
outside Newport has been shortlisted
by the Beautiful South Tourism Awards
for the Small Visitor Attraction of the
Year 2016.
The animal sanctuary, which relies
on charitable donations, is also
TripAdvisor’s No 1 attraction on the Isle
of Wight for the second year running.
Founder Don Walser says: “It’s been
an amazing year – and there’s plenty
more fun to come as we’re still open
during the weekends in November

The Shanklin Crafternooners will be running
a Winter Fayre at the Shanklin Youth Club
and Community Centre on Saturday 19th
November from 10am until 2pm.
As well as art and craft stalls the Fayre
will be joined by Green Towns, the Carnival
Committee, Shanklin Community Library,
the Royal British Legion, Shanklin Theatre,
Hampshire Police and more. Home-made
cakes, tea and coffee will be served.
