A vibrant new restaurant has been launched
in East Cowes, by owners with a wellestablished background in London as well as
on the Island.
The atmosphere at Prego is instantly
reminiscent of a trendy London eaterie,
stylishly modern with a twist. You’ll see from
the minute you walk into this welcoming
restaurant that a great deal of thought and
planning has gone into the project to ensure
its success.
The owners have scoured Europe looking
for unusual fittings, including the two huge
feature lights that were acquired from
from an old railway station. The tables
and chairs have been made especially for
this restaurant, with the bases ingeniously
crafted from old train brake drums, and solid
hand-made wooden tops.
Also interesting are the uniquely
imaginitive metal cages that hold the wine
and drinks – a really quirky feature.
The Prego menu is based on pizza and
pasta, with one main special dish prepared
daily, which offers enough choice for even
the fussiest of diners. Prego is open from
10:00am right through to 9:30pm, (Friday
and Saturday until 10pm) serving Mozzo
coffee, cake and a delicious range of Paninis
which are served through the lunch period
and early afternoon.
The menu offers hand-made pizzas,
delicious pasta dishes prepared and cooked
the special children’s menu on offer.
There’s a good range of wine to
accompany your meal as well as a selection
of beers and ciders.
Another welcome option if you’re in a hurry
is the Prego take-away service, on offer six
days a week and covering their whole menu.
Christmas bookings are now being taken.
on the premises, and there are also gluten

range of starters, mains and desserts to

One thing you’ll love about Prego are the
