JUST ADD FUEL TELEMATICS
– AVAILABLE TO 18-YEAR OLDS
P
eugeot Just Add Fuel does exactly
what the name suggests. The idea is
to put all major motoring payments
into a single monthly payment to make it
easier for the driver to manage paying for
their car.
This means insurance, servicing, roadside
assistance, warranty and road tax are all
included in a single monthly payment. The
only thing the deal does not cover is fuel.
Prices start from £179 per month, but the
cost of the monthly payment will depend
on a large number of things. For example,
the payments include insurance and this
will differ based on the age, experience and
previous claims of the owner, as well as the
car itself.
Undoubtedly the launch of Just Add
Fuel was one of Peugeots most significant
innovations and it remains unique to
Peugeot. The product has been constantly
refined and updated since launch, and is
the strongest single consumer package in
today’s market.
Just Add Fuel has just got even better with
a further major enhancement – Just Add
Fuel Telematics.
Put simply, this means Just Add Fuel is now
available on all 108 models for customers
from the age of 18. 18-year olds can be
either the policy holder, or a named driver
on a parent’s insurance policy, depending on
who is the main driver of the car. A further
benefit of Just Add Fuel Telematics is the
opportunity for customers without No Claim
Discount to take advantage of Just Add Fuel,
on all 108 models.
The customer will receive a telematics
device via post once they have set up their
Peugeot Just Add Fuel Telematics Insurance
policy. The device is then fitted into the car’s
OBD port.
The telematics device will capture and send
the customer’s specific location, direction
and current speed amongst other factors
to the supplier’s server and the information
will be used to understand road type, road
speed and other conditions relating to their
journey. This information will be used to
build up a profile of how, where and when
their car is driven.
The device will also collect vehicle and
battery health data using the car’s builtin diagnostic systems and manufacturer
information. The data collected by the
telematics device will be used to score every
journey that is completed in the car. The
driving score for each journey will range
from 1 to 100. 100 is the best achievable
score and 1 is the worst.
The driver’s average driving score for a
three-week period can then be viewed
on-line (by the driver or their parents!) and
if it falls below the driving score threshold,
they will be issued with a reminder via an
email. But don’t worry! You will need to have
received several warnings in a policy year
before any further action is taken.
