Classical fans

he Island’s first-ever Classical
Music Festival proved to be an
event to remember, with local and
international musicians performing
in the weekend-long event at
Northwood House, Cowes.
This latest Isle of Wight music
festival certainly proved that there’s
a welcome for every genre of music
here.
Classical music lovers enjoyed
relaxing picnics on the lawn while
they listened to inspirational sets
from the London Mozart Players,

classical guitarist, Sean Shibe,
Lithuanian accordion virtuoso,
Martynas, and classical saxophonist,
Amy Dickson.
The grand finale of the three-day
event came on Sunday September
6, and featured a performance by
Celeste - five choral scholars from
the depths of English countryside
- followed by a spectacular and
thrilling display of fireworks.
