aving finally completed their long
awaited relocation, it is easy to see
why Specsavers are so happy in their
new look sleek and modern store. The largescale investment made by the local directors,
Tim and Catherine Kidd, franchisee holders,
is easy to see.
The old Burton’s site is unrecognisable
as it now stands. The vast ground floor
area houses both optical and hear-care
business. Customers are made welcome
by the warmth of the store on arrival,
and have been provided with a fantastic
customer lounge where they can now relax
whilst waiting to visit the new pre-testing
area, which is fully equipped with modern
gadgetry, before going into the main test.
The store encompasses ipad technology to
make the customer journey more flexible, and
a new call centre and administration function
is set to field all incoming calls. The aim of all
this is to alleviate unnecessary interruptions to
the customer interactions on the shop floor.
Our Contact Lens Optician Gary Riggs will
now be available four-five days a week to
give greater availability to our contact lens
customers, old and new.
The Hearing aspect run by Sam Woodford
and his team are excited at being back in a
larger team and giving greater convenience
to their customers.
Mark Hardy, long standing lab manager,
completes 15,000 jobs a year with high
precision using in-house glazing machines
and systems.
The team and business has been given a
new lease of life and envisage great leaps
forward in customer service and satisfaction.
