EDUCATION
New 6th Form experience
T
his is a ground-breaking
time for Ryde School’s Sixth
Form. With the launch of
the International Baccalaureate
Careers Programme (IBCP) and
the introduction of our new A
Levels + Enrichment courses
alongside our International
Baccalaureate Diploma
Programme, we are meeting not
only the specifications and advice
of leaders in both academic
and professional fields but also
the challenge of what the 21st
century workplace requires of
its young people; an excellent
academic foundation and a
creative mind-set.
Our newly refurbished Sixth
Form centre reflects our students’
need to be at once grounded
in the security of tradition and
encouraged to learn the important
lifelong skill of self-motivated

learning. Whether working in our
bespoke study library ‘pods’ or
chilling with friends in the light,
airy and colourful common room,
our Sixth Formers feel part of a
dynamic and supportive hub.
As part of our Personal
Development Programme,
all Sixth Formers are taught
coaching skills so that they may
develop their own confidence and
consolidate their leadership roles
within the whole school. Beyond
Ryde, our students move on to a
wide variety of destinations and
we are proud of our successes in
ensuring each individual finds the
course best suited to his or her
ambitions.
Please come along to our
‘Introduction to the Sixth Form’
evening on 12 January 2016.
