Edmund Matyjaszek the school's
principal, and his team, have been busy
overseeing many improvements to
the school's facilities, offering further
outstanding opportunities in which
pupils may learn and flourish.
The school has successfully completed
the new multi-purpose Key Stage 1
Unit, allowing young pupils access to a
wonderful outside area and woodland,
enabling them to interact and understand
nature and the seasons, further echoing
the school's emphasis on learning
through outdoor play and experience.
Young pupils can also enjoy regular trips
to St. Mildred's Chapel, participating
in a number of seasonal celebrations,
affirming the school’s Christian identity.
The implementation of the Victoria
Bursaries, with a 50 per cent reduction
in fees giving children in Reception Class
to Year 2 the opportunity to experience
a first class education at affordable cost,
has successfully opened doors to parents
within the community and has been
enthusiastically received.
The Sixth Form suite has also been
completely refurbished; the suite

comprises of a private study area, tutorial
room and a common room, allowing the
students to meet and socialise over a cup
of tea or coffee. Priory School is delighted
that many of its A Level students have
already been accepted by universities
such as London, Warwick, Portsmouth
and Reading. Complementing the
school's outstanding academic
curriculum, pupils of all ages are actively
encouraged to participate in a wide range
of sports activities including football,
rugby, cricket, netball, golf and athletics.
School clubs are also extremely popular
and range from drama, chess, carnival,
netball, and homework club which allows
children to be picked up after work.
Offering first-rate GCSE and A Level
results, outstanding pastoral care and a
maximum class size of 16, Priory School
educates and cares for children from the
beginning of their education all the way
through until Sixth Form. It is truly a
'family' school.
