OUT & ABOUT To the manor they flocked The crowds flocked into Wolverton Manor’s Annual Garden Fair to enjoy an array of entertainment, and raise money for Age UK IW. The Elizabethan theme saw dancing, falconry displays and a variety of Tudor games, as well as archery, a demonstration by Canine Partners, and kayak rides. There was also a good variety of plants on sale to tempt buyers. Military vehicles and historic cars were also on show, along with wood carving displays and demonstrations on the art of spinning by the IW Guild of Weavers, Spinners and Dyers. Around 7,000 people attended the two-day event, and it was anticipated that around £14,000 would be raised for Age UK IW. 52 www.visitislandlife.com
