Come on down to the Bargeman’s
Rest in Newport on Sunday, 21st
October for Trafalgar Day, celebrating
Britain’s greatest naval victory. After a
hearty lunch, enjoy a full afternoon of
entertainment and help raise funds for the
Isle of Wight Sea Cadets.
After welcoming HM The Queen to
Cowes earlier in the year, the Island’s sea
cadets will lead the formal elements of
the day to ensure Lord Nelson’s illustrious
achievements are properly acknowledged.
Highlight of the afternoon will be an
appearance from the world’s two smallest
tall ships, the “Little Brigs” which will
represent the opposing fleets at Trafalgar
whilst naval historian and Nelson-expert
John White provides a thrilling narrative
and the sea cadet band perform a
marching display.
