life YOUR LETTERS FOREWORD Family fun at Mottistone Wolverton Garden Fair Aug 08 IF the organiser of Wolverton Manor fair, Jim Raeside, had put in an order for good weather he couldn’t have done any better. In what was a dismal summer, the national headlines screamed that the Isle of Wight was the sunniest place in Britain on the Saturday of the fair. As a result it was the busiest day the fair has known, the weekend raising £21,750 for Age Concern. 8 Adults can relish being in one of the loveliest gardens on the Island, while their children assuage their competitive spirits. Mottistone Manor will host another of its popular Family Fun Days during half term, on October 29th. Scattered round the garden are a variety of activities to complete, for points, such as feeding the polar bear, a water-pistol gallery and a space-hopper obstacle course.
