Once again this year there were some amazing stories behind the awards and some truly deserving people came along to Cowes Yacht Haven to receive their accolades. During the evening Isle of Wight Radio raised over £500 for the Barely Born Appeal. Fiona Collyer from the appeal collected the cheque from Ian and Justine on the breakfast show and said how the appeal is now gaining pace, but they need to keep going. 44 Harriet Little accepting from Mary Cracknell The Barely Born Appeal has been launched to raise additional funds to help provide St Mary’s Hospital with a new Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) for the Island’s sick babies and their parents. Paul Topping and the team will be moving his popular afternoon show to breakfast. 'Topping in the Morning' will be the new sound to wake up the Isle of Wight. There will be an extra hour to the show, so you can join Paul, James, Justine and Glyn from 6am. the new bright sound of Isle of Wight Radio at breakfast. Michael, Chloe and the team will have all of the latest news and sport every 15 minutes and travel news every 30 minutes. Paul’s show will also be out and about broadcasting live from locations around the Island and as always they want you to be the star of the show!
