SOCIETY
Isle of Wight Radio's
People's People Awards 2008
TWO children stole the
show at an emotional
People’s People Awards
evening.
Harriet Little was in
tears as she collected her
Courageous Child Award,
accompanied by her proud
mother, Helen. For two
years she has been in
and out of hospital but
her courage has been an
inspiration to all who
know her.
Asa Singleton, the
youngster who has
struggled cheerfully with
a life-limiting illness, won
the Outstanding Act of
Bravery Award. He was
unable to pick up his
award in person.
Rotarian Bill Wyke, won
the Isle of Wight People’s
Person 2008, for his
fundraising efforts after
foreign disasters and the
annual shoe box appeal.
