Citroen
launch
new CCrosser
The versatile Citroen
C-Crosser boasts fourwheel drive capability,
exceptional levels of space
and comfort, as well as an
advanced, fuel efficient HDi
diesel engine equipped
with environmentallyfriendly Diesel Particulate
Filter System.
Taking its name from the
four-wheel drive concept car
that Citroen first displayed
at the 2001 Frankfurt Motor
Show, the new C-Crosser's
elegant proportions (4.64m
long, 1.81m wide and 1.73m
high including roof bars) and
powerfully sculpted design
lines envelop sufficient
interior space to seat up
to seven passengers.
Immediately catching the
eye, the C-Crosser's robust
good looks are fronted by
the dominant chevrons that
stretch across the bonnet
into the streamlined front

headlamps, ensuring that it
is instantly recognisable as
a Citroen. A multiple-ribbed
bonnet, chunky wheel
arches, the smart use of
chrome detailing and the
sleek window lines further
enhance the C-Crosser's
dynamic styling .
The C-Crosser is available
with Citroen's impressive,
new generation 156bhp
2.2HDi engine mated to a
six-speed manual gearbox.
With the C-Crosser's
integral transmission,
drivers have a choice of
three settings, dependent
on road conditions and
driving style: two-wheel
drive, four-wheel drive and
a lock setting designed
for low-grip conditions.
The new C-Crosser
rounds off Citroen's range
of mid- and top-end
cars, ensuring there is a
vehicle to suit all needs,
whether it be for an SUV,
a versatile people carrier,
or an executive saloon.

This new offering from
Hyundai I think will
appeal to the more
sophisticated buyer.
The i30 is a handsome car,
which comes with some
good looks. The engines
available are 1.4 and 1.6 litre
petrol units, plus 1.6 and 2.0litre turbodiesels. The 2.0litre diesel has a six speed
gearbox, while a four speed
automatic is available with
all engines except the 1.4.
The i30 represents a
new level of quality for
Hyundai, no rattles, and
the whole car feels strong
and solid whilst driving.
The interior has been
finished to a high standard,
I would go as far as to
say on par with a Golf
Mk V1 perhaps. Inside
it is airy, and has made
good use of the space.
Even down to the opening
flaps which close quietly and
softly, the upholstery on the
seats feels hardwearing and
up to the job and the seating
position is also very good,
with good visuals of the blue
LCD instruments panel.
Driving the i30 is a
pleasure, when you move
off you are overcome by
a sense of stability. The
bumps are taken in by the
i30's supple suspension,
and the steering gives
you confidence round
those corners. When it
comes to stopping the
i30 is up there with the
best within this range.
The diesel version 1.6-litre
(which could become the
best-selling version) is quick
off the mark, 0-62mph in
11.6 seconds, with a top
speed of 117mph. You will
go faster in the petrol (1.6litre) reaching a top speed
of 119mph, with a 0-62mph
figure of 11.1 seconds.
The car comes with a
5 year manufacturers
warranty which will be
a big draw, and all four
engines have impressive
economy, for example the
1.6-litre diesel manages
an impressive 60.1mpg.
This little i30 is definately
worth a test drive, and
if you are in the market
for a small, economical
car then give the i30
serious consideration.
