Food-Drink-Accommodation Dining with a fine view With its spectacular views of the English Channel, the Leconfield’s Seascape dining room is a memorable venue for relaxed dining. Guests of the country house hotel, which is situated on St Boniface Down, return time and time again to enjoy the experience – but nonresidents are also welcome to book for dinner. Chef Martin Clarke, who has lived and worked on the Island for the whole of his culinary career, has produced a menu that reflects the country house surroundings and uses the finest locally farmed meat, fresh fruit, vegetables and locally landed fish wherever possible. It is 72 complemented by an extensive list of 36 wines. Creating a relaxed and unhurried atmosphere is key to the Leconfield approach, which is why there is only a single sitting for dinner and guests book their table for the whole evening.   After dinner, they can take coffee or tea in one of the comfortable sitting rooms, conservatory or garden. The set four-course menu price is £19.50, but diners can also choose from chef Martin’s signature a la carte menu.
