Good turnout for
Hunt open day
The annual Puppy Show was
replaced by an open day at the Hunt
Kennels in Gatcombe this year,
since no new puppies were bred
whilst the future of hunting looked
uncertain last year.
However, with the picture now
looking brighter, 18 puppies have
been bred this year and the puppy
show will be back next year.
Despite the fact there were no pups
on display this year, over 130 people
attended the open day event.

commented: “I am so glad to see
the support that the Hunt receives
from locals. This year we have just

completed the new kennels,
which are so much better for
us and the hounds.”
This year’s trailing season
opens on the first Saturday
