Come on through the
garden gate!
Ventnor Botanic Garden is 45 years
old and they’re celebrating from 19th
- 23rd June!
It’s 45 years since Lord Louis
Mountbatten, then Governor of
the Isle of Wight, officially opened
the Garden to the public after the
closure of the Royal National Hospital.
Ventnor Botanic Garden Friend’s
Society are planning to celebrate in
style this summer with a number of
free events over the week.
Called ‘Through the Garden Gate’,
they hope their festival will offer
something for everyone - young and
older, families or singles. From walks
and talks, to a Teddy Bear’s picnic,
storytelling and art workshops. Why
not join them for a dawn chorus
on the summer solstice! Visit www.
ventnorbotanicfriends.org.uk to find
out more.
The week of celebrations culminates
in YogaVibe, the vibrant annual yoga
festival for beginners and Yogi’s alike
from 23rd - 25th June. The weekend
includes yoga classes & workshops,
meditation, music & music therapies
and much more.
Why not camp in the Garden and
enjoy music and delicious food on
Friday and Saturday evenings. Visit
