Arts & Crafts
A destination of Summer
delight for art lovers
Isle of Wight Arts Open Studios 14th - 24th July 2017
The Island’s annual Open Studios
event will see over 120 artists,
craft designers and makers
showing their work and meeting
the public, both in their studios
and at a range of venues around
the Island.
Once again, it’s a great opportunity for
Islanders and visitors to get a personal view
of how artists work.
Original artwork will be available to buy
direct from the creators - and art lovers may
even be inspired to sign up for an art course
themselves.
With many new artists joining the regular

favourites, there will be an amazing range of
art and crafts of many mediums and styles,
from jewellery, ceramics and photography, to
mixed media, sculpture, fine art and much
more – so there’s sure to be something
to intrigue everyone. With the chance to
acquire an artwork, you may visit the studios
of solo artists or group venues hosting a
number of artists and craft makers, while
visiting new parts of this beautiful Island,
making it a great day out.
To help navigate your visits, the Open
Studios yearbook, with its artists listings,
is now available across the Island in public
venues, libraries, tourist information points,
galleries etc, as well as being downloadable
from the website isleofwightarts.com.
The idea is to use the yearbook to create
your own art trails, with the help of the
detailed area maps, noting variations in
opening days and times.
