Arts & Crafts A destination of Summer delight for art lovers Isle of Wight Arts Open Studios 14th - 24th July 2017 The Island’s annual Open Studios event will see over 120 artists, craft designers and makers showing their work and meeting the public, both in their studios and at a range of venues around the Island. Once again, it’s a great opportunity for Islanders and visitors to get a personal view of how artists work. Original artwork will be available to buy direct from the creators - and art lovers may even be inspired to sign up for an art course themselves. With many new artists joining the regular 64 www.visitilife.com Artist Linda Beale favourites, there will be an amazing range of art and crafts of many mediums and styles, from jewellery, ceramics and photography, to mixed media, sculpture, fine art and much more – so there’s sure to be something to intrigue everyone. With the chance to acquire an artwork, you may visit the studios of solo artists or group venues hosting a number of artists and craft makers, while visiting new parts of this beautiful Island, making it a great day out. To help navigate your visits, the Open Studios yearbook, with its artists listings, is now available across the Island in public venues, libraries, tourist information points, galleries etc, as well as being downloadable from the website isleofwightarts.com. The idea is to use the yearbook to create your own art trails, with the help of the detailed area maps, noting variations in opening days and times.
