OUT & ABOUT
They walked
the Wight
The sun shone down
on over 7,000 men,
women, children, dogs
- and even llamas and
alpacas! - who took part
in the hugely popular
Walk the Wight 2016.
As well as stretching their legs and
enjoying the spectacular scenery en
route, the huge band of walkers also
raised thousands of pounds for the Earl
Mountbatten Hospice.
Jackie Whiller, deputy sister at the
hospice, said: “The atmosphere has
been great and it’s been really lovely to
watch everyone cross the finish line at
The Needles”.
She added the Hospice wished to send
a heartfelt thank you to everyone who
walked or helped out in any way: “The
support has been outstanding.”
