A very special Windsor
I
t’s always a big event on the summer social
calendar, but this year’s 73rd Royal Windsor Horse
Show in May was particularly special.
Not only had the Show been upgraded to 4* level
– thus attracting some of the world’s top equestrian
athletes - but there was a celebratory feel to the
whole event thanks to its special celebration for
HM The Queen’s 90th Birthday Celebrations in the
evening.
Spectators enjoyed world-class equestrian sport
as well as fabulous international entertainment in
the grounds of Windsor Castle.
The show has grown in size and international
importance since its inaugural event in 1943,
and now encompasses a variety of equestrian
sport from carriage driving to showjumping and
enthralling equestrian displays.
