Fair
he recent Bank Holiday Monday saw the annual
Bembridge Street Fair take place. This is an event
which invites local businesses and residents to take part
throughout the village and this year with the added
advantage of extended opening times.
Among the many stalls and exhibits featured this year
was a ‘busk stop’, which was an area for live musical
performances from local bands and artists.
Every stall had also been invited to introduce a form of
entertainment to their event, with the ambition of getting
the fair to return to the roots of the traditional village fete.
A park and ride system was also in operation for those
coming from outside of Bembridge, all donations were on
behalf of the Bembridge community bus.
