evergreen vegetations. The experience is
one I shall never forget, with breathtaking
scenery on the way down.
The Island is a paradise not only for
nature enthusiasts, but also for those with a
penchant for good food. Make no mistake
about it - fish is big in Grenada, to the extent
that a weekly fish festival takes place. I was
able to sample Blue Marlin, and fresh local
lobster which, when cooked over charcoal on
the beach and complimented with wine or
the local Carib beer, tasted simply wonderful.
Grenada was discovered in 1498 by a
certain Italian-born Spanish navigator
known as Christopher Columbus: I am sure
it didn’t take him long to realise that he had
discovered a very magical place!
