FOOD 'Click and collect' Hamilton’s Fine Foods will shortly be opening a new outlet at their depot, 1 Daish Way, Newport, where customers will be able to ‘click and collect’ an extensive range of quality foods. Hamilton's are a family-run wholesale and retail butchers who for many years have served the local community, and now they have decided to make it even simpler to buy their produce. Andy Gustar of Hamilton’s explained: “We will be having a new website where customers can view all our products, with prices. Then they can either order on line or by telephone, and can come along to the shop to pick up their order.” Hamilton’s are renowned for their top quality beef, lamb and pork, traditional cooked meats, hand-made sausages, selected game, in-house bakery and traditional cheeses. They are also planning to relocate their Scarrots Lane shop, to Pyle Street, Newport later in the year. Since moving to the Island, Bruce Theobald, head chef at the Seaview Hotel, has been amazed by the superb quality and variety of fish and shellfish available. He said: “It’s a chef ’s dream to have fish so fresh they literally swim into the kitchen! “Seaview is a very special place; it was founded by maritime pilots and there’s still a strong community of fisherman. I know who catch es my sea bream and even the name of the boat.
