GARDENING
Apprenticeship boost
by Botanic Garden
T
he future looks even brighter for
horticultural apprentices at Ventnor
Botanic Garden. It follows their annual
summer garden party on Sunday May 25.
The popular event, organised by the Ventnor
Botanic Garden Friends’ society, raised over
£9,000 towards new apprentice schemes.
These will be rolled out over the next 12
months, thanks to a hotly contested auction
and a delicious spread of food laid on by the
garden’s edulis restaurant.
Students interested in apprentice
opportunities should contact the gardens
directly.
