fun at Yarmouth
Old Gaffers!

housands of Islanders and
visitors made their annual
pilgrimage to Yarmouth
for the ever-popular Old
Gaffers Festival. The town and
harbour played host to a fun-filled
weekend of entertainment. The
harbour was filled with the colourful
spectacle of the visiting gaff rigged
vessels, some of which raced in The
Solent during the Festival.
Other attractions included street
entertainment, live music, classic
vehicle displays and lifeboat
demonstrations along with a craft
fair and continental market setup
around Yarmouth town. St James’
Church hosted the colourful Flower
Festival, while the McGaffers'
beer tent ensured that real sale
enthusiasts had a huge choice of real
ales to savour.
