THE HOSPICE Latest news and information from Earl Mountbatten Hospice... Thank you walkers! Earl Mountbatten Hospice would like to say a ‘massive thank you’ to everyone who Walked the Wight on Sunday, May 11 to raise money for patient care. Thousands of people, including school children and runners, crossed the Island on the 24th annual walk to support the Island’s only Hospice. Many wore costumes, including Grandad Mick Dixcey, 63, mum Alix Parsons, 35, and her son Rio Parsons, 11, who walked the full 26.5 miles from Bembridge to the Needles, dressed as mobile phones. “We’re three generations, so called ourselves ‘3G’!” laughs Alix, a mum of five from Ryde.
