Picnic evening to
aid cancer charity
A
n evening picnic at the
Newclose Cricket Ground
marquee in Newport
raised more than £1,100
for the Women v Cancer charity.
The event was organised by Claire
Dinsdale from Godshill as part of
her fund-raising efforts, which had
already brought in over £2,000 ahead
of her recent 100-kilometre charity
bike ride around Windsor and
London.
Claire’s father Paul St John Martin
was Master of Ceremonies for the
evening, and entertainment was
provided by Cornerstones, Newclose’s
very own quiz master and solo singer
Adam Pratt, and guitarist Tony
Cappello making his first public
appearance.
