Double cash boost
at charity dinner

ore than 160 guests attended a charity
dinner and dance at the Ryde Castle
Hotel for the Royal Agricultural
Benevolent Institute (RABI) and the Royal Isle of
Wight Agricultural Society (RIWAS). RABI raises
funds for farmers, farm managers, workers,
families and dependants who are in need, while
RIWAS raises awareness for Island agriculture
and aims to inspire future generations to come
through to pursue careers in agriculture.
Both charities benefitted on the night by
around £1,000, and a further £1,100 was
presented to RABI by the IW Bloodhounds Joint
Master Asa Wingate. Island band Cornerstones
kept the dance floor full, while local magician
Aaron Isted captivated the diners with his
excellent tricks.
