COUNTRY LIFE
to the Earl Mountbatten Hospice
(EMH). On the day it was all down to
donations, and they ranged from small
coinage to £10 notes. An amazing
£1,690 was taken in the car park; the
sale of raffle tickets and programmes
took £924.00, and the refreshments
tent took £1,111.
With much generosity from
companies who kindly donated
generators and toilets, a cheque was
presented to the EMH for £6,000
- £5,000 going to patient care and
£1,000 towards trying to extend the
services of the Hospice to be able to
give support and care for children,
who currently have to travel from
the Island to Naomi’s House in
Winchester.
