Island Auctions' vibrant sale
Island Auction Rooms recently enjoyed
another vibrant sale, this time the strength
of the Oriental market proving influential.
Director Warren Riches said: “Internet
interest from China and the USA still
provide the market with strong bidders. An
oriental snuff bottle made a healthy £490
while a simple oriental vase made £780. The
market for gold and silver is still doing well
and general brown furniture is doing rather
better than the previous year.”
Warren said people are seeing the benefit
of buying quality made furniture and
collectables at auction that will last and
provide style to the home. Island Auction
Rooms have a fantastic outdoor sale on
June 8 at Arreton Barns with over 700 lots
of vintage vehicles, tractors, enamel signs,
staddlestones and much more.
