Youth Trust's cash boost
The Commodore of the Sea View Yacht Club,
Richard Prest, hosted a dinner to honour Her
Majesty’s Lord Lieutenant, Major General Martin
White and the outgoing High Sheriff, Nicholas
Hayward, both of whom are members of the Yacht
Club.
The Black Tie dinner was well attended by over 130
members and guests and featured Island produce,
including locally caught crab; Island smoked salmon
and Isle of Wight lamb.
The Commodore proposed toasts to his
distinguished guests and Nick Hayward described
the work done by the Isle of Wight Youth Trust. All
profits from the evening went to this Trust, with the
expected total to be in the region of £3,000.
