High Sheriff
reception
Nick Hayward, the Isle of Wight’s new High Sheriff,
hosted a reception for dignitaries, friends and family
following his Declaration in the Crown Court at
Newport.
The High Sheriff was surrounded by the Lord
Lieutenant, Resident Judge, Recorder, Head of the
Magistrates, Under Sheriff and his Chaplain, as well as
past High Sheriffs and Deputy Lieutenants.
The reception was held at the Quay Arts Centre,
with guests able to enjoy the beautiful weather and sit
outside by the river. Later William Bailey gave a special
lunch at the Royal Hotel, Ventnor to celebrate the
Declaration.
