Music legends to
perform on Island
Two of the biggest and most famous
names in the music industry will be
performing on the Island later this
summer, writes Peter White.
Welsh legend Sir Tom Jones will take
to the stage in the grounds of Osborne
House on July 29 in a double-header
weekend that will also see British pop
sensation Steps appear at the same
venue the previous evening.
Then legendary American singer/
songwriter Stevie Wonder will be here to
headline this year’s Isle of Wight Bestival
at the Robin Hill Country Park, from
September 6 to 9.
Tom Jones returns to the Island after
proving a major success at last year’s
IW Festival, where he appeared in the
Big Top. Now he is back after being on
our television screens for the past few
months as a judge in ‘The Voice’.
With a career spanning decades, this
is a rare chance for Islanders to witness
an unbelievable performance from one
of the biggest names in music. Tom will
bring his powerful vocals to the East
Cowes venue, and is sure to keep the
audience captivated from start to finish,
as he performs all his major hits from
‘Delilah’ to ‘Green Green Grass of Home’
and ‘It’s Not Unusual’.

House Summer Concerts and the IW
