GARDENING
and young people to gain an
interest and knowledge in
plants and the environment.
Each school was given
summer flowering plants to
brighten up their school for
the Jubilee and the Olympic
celebrations. Sutton’s Seeds
contributed wild flower
seeds, so each school could
begin a wildflower garden.
“Many local businesses
and charities joined in the
weekend celebrations. We
also had a local choir, singers
from different churches run
by Mrs Marja Tolley and the
wonderful Ukulele Orchestra
lead by Rich Wiseman.”
