ISLAND LIFE
St Helens hold Garden Festival
The St. Helens Church Flower
Festival, with the theme ‘Summer
by the Sea’ will be held on July
8, 9 and 10. On the Friday and
Saturday it will be open from
10am to 4.30 pm and on the
Sunday from 12.0 to 4.30 pm.
The Flower Festival has become
reality after a group of ladies,
mostly flower arrangers, decided
to raise much needed money
for the church restoration fund.
Their enthusiasm and dedication,
coupled with many meetings for
over a year has resulted in the
festival.
There will be coffees, light
lunches and teas, as well as a local
produce stall, handicrafts and a
raffle. On Saturday there will be a
concert in the church (7.30pm),
and on Sunday Songs of Praise
(6.00pm).
