PROPERTY Informal luxury self catering at Barton Manor Farmhouse and Lake Cottage Barton Manor, used originally by Prince Albert as the ‘home farm’ for Osborne House, is now offering two of the original farm buildings as stunning self catering guest accommodation. Following extensive refurbishment The Farmhouse and Lake Cottage now provide the perfect venue for a variety of stays from wedding parties and corporate groups, to relaxing retreats. Set in the grounds of the estate, both properties have been lovingly refurbished to create informal luxury, perfectly blending Victorian history with contemporary living. The large open plan kitchen & dining area in the Farmhouse is perfect for cooking and entertaining although in house catering can be arranged if guests prefer. Sleeping up to 10 guests, it is fully equipped with the latest technology including Sky HD, wi-fi internet access, Bose ipod docks and Roberts Radio. There are two impressive living spaces; one a media room with a full surround sound system, and one for quiet relaxation or conversation fitted with a wood burning stove. The luxurious bedrooms have Egyptian cotton bed linen, silk duvets and pillows. The bathrooms are fresh and uncluttered but retain an element of the original Victorian style. The pavilion style Lake Cottage offers lovely light large rooms for up to 4 guests. Solar panels provide heating, which is supplemented by a wood-burner in the sitting-room to make it cosy on chilly evenings. Each property has its own outside space; however guests staying at the Farmhouse have use of the private beach & woodlands and can arrange hire of a golf buggy to really take it easy. There is even a landing pad for a helicopter should the ferries look a little full. Wight Locations - Seaview TEL: 01983 811418 32 www.visitislandlife.com www.wightlocations.co.uk
