Jools Holland
on ice!
Jools Holland and friends proved as popular as ever when
they appeared at Ryde Arena.
Jools on his piano, accompanied by 16 musicians –
including brother Christopher on organ - and two singers
were soon captivating the sell-out crowd.
The banter with his fans warmed the atmosphere as he
enquired: “Has anyone seen us before? I love you. Has
anyone not seen us before? I love you too!”
Louise Marshall joined the maestro for a couple of
numbers, before Alison Moyet appeared – much slimmer
these days, but with the same strong, recognisable voice.
She proved as popular as ever as she belted out such
favourites as ‘Love Letters’ and ‘Only You’ accompanied
by Jools.
Ruby Turner added to the entertainment on a night that
will be long-remembered by those who attended.
