Never bigger and never
better, Island Life is bursting
with stories, snippets and
information for everyone.
In our biggest nautical section
ever we admire the work of
those who share the challenge
of the sea with others. We
admire the tenacity of a man
who has hosted a rib fest,
despite the odds. And we meet
a man who has mapped every
ebb of the Solent.
We meet the people who
make the Island what it is: the
new High Sheriff Peter Kingston
and Christopher Bland, who
also held the office. Both share
their hopes for the young of
today but also their fears.
Then there are the people
striving to make the Island
a better place for locals and
visitors. The standard of food
and drink continues to rise, and
in a new venture we begin our
own no-holds-barred restaurant
reviews.
In our equestrian section we
see how driving can benefit
the disabled. In our guide to
Country Life we walk among
the bluebells.
No wonder we all enjoy Island
Life.
