A real fun day out for the family
cannot get any better than this!
With one white yacht looking
very much like another these
days, being on a plastic yacht
in a crowded harbour does
not seem very special, but
arriving in a stunning classic
yacht is a real head turner and
a unique experience. Josephine
and Infanta, two of the most
beautiful classic yachts in
the UK today, have sailed
into crowded Cowes and are
available to charter.
Island
based
company,
classicyachtcharters.co.uk, is able
to offer for charter this season two
stylish yachts, Josephine (pictured),
built in 1954 and Infanta in 1947.
Both are in excellent condition, and
at 45’ and 47’ respectively, they are
large and comfortable with great
deck space to relax and sunbathe
while anchored in a bay, or to invite
your friends aboard for drinks in the
spacious cockpit when moored in
harbour.
So
when
chartering
is
commonplace with so many charter
fleets in the Solent, why do Classic
Yacht Charters feel there is a need or
market for more?
“Both these yachts are really
beautiful” says Josephine Burr of
Classic Yacht Charters, “They are
chic, elegant and bring a higher
level of pleasure and relaxation
which we want to share with
other Island residents and families
who holiday on the Island in the
Summer and want to sail, and
we find that the girls love the
aesthetics of classic yachts even
if they are not into sailing”
With the yachts based in East
Cowes, the emphasis seems very
much on providing a wonderful sail
on a classic yacht for individuals and
families as well as being an excellent
corporate opportunity. Each yacht
comes with a professional crew
member for the charter, so there is
someone to make sure the yacht is
running smoothly, and to share,
to whatever level is needed, the
responsibility for running the ship.
This means the charter is relaxing
for everyone.
“For corporate charter we offer
Island Life - www.isleofwight.net
a fantastic all inclusive day for 10
people, or up to 20 if you want both
yachts, plus a big speed boat for
water-sports at lunchtime, but the
price structure also makes it possible
for two people to have the most
romantic couple of days cruising in
the Solent, or a week away in the
Channel Islands. My preference”
says Josephine “is one of the best
value days. Two families, up to 10
people, bring a hamper and yacht
around the Solent in real style and
all this from £438+VAT.
If you enjoy being on the water,
but never really were attracted
to charter you will be interested
to experience yachts as beautiful
as this, glinting varnish, shining
chrome and a real pleasure to sail.
