PLENTY OF EXCITEMENT

that extra oomph on the
water, that go-faster buzz
that only a humdinger of
an engine will provide.
Never let it be said
that Cowes is stuck in
the tradition of wind
and sail. If you’re one of

whizzing distance of the Royal Yacht
Squadron.
The 2006 Cowes Powerboat
Festival will take place from August
26 to 27, and will attract around 70
of the top boats both from the UK
and the wider international scene.
The festival includes the P1 World
the pits) has prompted
the addition this year
of a Corporate Club
Village in Cowes, which
will undoubtedly raise
the swank factor to
impressive heights.
The festival has all
the excitement of
international
highliving, but as always on
the Island, there’ll be
some local flavour with
IW teams taking part.
