decorator – and it was his sheer persistence that finally got him into the
broadcasting work he had dreamed of since doing a radio show at
Sandown High School at the age of 12.
Starting out as a volunteer at Radio Solent, he learned his craft at that
station before moving to London and working at Radio Luxembourg, and
then heading back to the south coast for a period at Ocean FM – during
which time he commuted daily from the Island.
