FASHION ‘Twas the season for stylewatching An audience of over 100 stylewatchers turned out for the popular pre-Christmas fashion show at the Old Smithy in Godshill, organised by the Smithy’s resident fashion shop, Four Seasons. A dozen models of all ages – drawn from staff and friends of the business – glided up and down the catwalk in a range of 150 stunning outfits from some of Four Seasons’ top designer labels – including Olsen, Pret a Porter, Gerry Weber and Bianca. The line-up included everything from glamorous eveningwear to casual weekend looks, and smart outerwear tailored for the English winter. The fashion show has been a favourite fixture on the Island’s events calendar for many years, and is regarded by many as their perfect pre-cursor to the Christmas party season. four seasons at The Old Smithy, Godshill As usual, it included delicious refreshments supplied by another of the businesses in the family-owned Old Smithy complex, the coffee shop. There was also the usual raffle, and by the end of the evening, a total of £1,056 had been raised for Four Seasons’ adopted charity, the Earl Mountbatten Hospice in Newport. Said Rosemary Brooks, who runs Four Seasons with her daughter Jane Cross: “The evening was another great success with a real party atmosphere. We’re delighted that it seems to have become one of those must-do dates in people’s dairies in the run-up to Christmas”. Four Seasons at The Old Smithy, Godshill Tel: 01983 840364 32
