A SUCCESSFUL YEAR FOR HRD AUCTION ROOMS
The Christmas period was very busy for the auction rooms – with the December Fine Art and Vintage sales having over 1,300 lots in them ! The sale saw solid results in the jewellery and toy section , with either people grabbing a late Christmas present or collectors treating themselves to the large Dinky Toy collection we had in the sale .
Warren Riches , managing director , said this period can be a tricky one with regards to sellers and buyers , but this year bucked the trend and was exceptionally busy . Warren believes this is due to the complete all round service the auction rooms now offers , whether a seller or buyer .
All antique sale lots are both photographed and put online , so even whilst we are asleep in this country , others are viewing and even bidding from around the world . These bids via sophisticated software are stored and then on sale day the live bidding console is used as the sale is streamed round the world live , with people being able to join in and bid from all corners of the planet !
We then offer a comprehensive postage and packing service which makes us highly effi cient and highly regarded by buyers around the globe .
