Charity News Fundraising across the Island Take the challenge! Challenge & Adventure, the charity that has been helping disadvantaged and challenging 12-19 year-olds on the Isle of Wight for over 25 years, has recently launched a big new fundraising initiative. Called Challenge 25, it is throwing down the gauntlet to 25 supporters and asking them to raise £100 each over the course of this year. Organisers say there are lots of ways supporters can raise the money - from holding a tea party to running a quiz night, bingo, raffle or ladies lunch. And they are offering plenty of help and support in terms of designing and printing posters, promotion on the charity’s website and Facebook pages, sponsor forms and providing volunteer help on the day. Each Fundraiser will receive a Challenge & Adventure Certificate, a presentation photo for its website and Facebook page and distribution to the media if requested. If you are interested in taking on the challenge – which will ultimately help to raise the confidence, self-esteem and aspirations of disadvantaged young people – just apply for a registration pack by calling 01983 527026, or email Karen@ challengeandadventure.org.uk www.visitilife.com 63
