Inside Business
Fired with enthusiasm for the job
It was in December 2016 that
Wight Fire & Security won the IW
Chamber of Commerce Small
Business of the Year Award – but
rather than sit on their laurels
during 2017, the company
continued to expand both in terms
of size and quality of service.
Midway through 2017 the
company was delighted to receive
SSAIB accreditation for its work on
security systems. This means they
are now able to support police
response intruder alarm systems
to their account clients.
To cope with the increase in
demand, Wight Fire has recently
taken on an additional member
of their engineering team, Trevor
Payne, who has brought with him
a wealth of experience in security
and fire alarms.
Daniel Murphy GIFireE has also
joined the team in recent weeks.
Daniel Murphy and Trevor Payne
Daniel has been working within
the fire services division of Vector
Aerospace for 14 years, gaining a
great deal of fire safety experience.
He has joined Wight Fire to assist
Director Steve Winter with fire
risk assessments and fire safety
training.
Wight Fire & Security say their
specialists are always happy to
discuss client’s requirements,
either at their offices in Sandown
or at the client’s property. For
