ISLAND LIFE MAGAZINE Memorial Ploughing Match at Shorwell T he seventh annual Memorial Ploughing Match will take place on Sunday April 12 at New Wolverton Farm, Shorwell, by kind permission of Prof and Mrs Williams. The event gives spectators the opportunity to watch vintage and conventional tractors ploughing as well as an exhibition by the ever popular heavy horses. The competition takes place between 9.30am and 4.30pm, and although entry is free, any money raised from the event will be given to local charities on the Island, with the main beneficiary being the Earl Mountbatten Hospice. Refreshments will be available on the day.
