Brownrigg's
shop and cafe,
the perfect place
to stop off
A
visit to the popular Brownrigg’s Farm
Shop also provides customers with the
opportunity to sample the excellent
food on offer at the shop’s cafe, which was
opened in April last year.
Whether it’s for a morning sausage or
breakfast bap; a sandwich, homemade soup
or baguette at lunchtime, or afternoon tea
with a delicious piece of homemade cake, the
cafe is the ideal stopping off point. And in the
summer months there will be the opportunity
to sit outside with your fine food, and watch
the world go by, with the shop and the cafe
offering a range of gluten free products.
Located just off the Newport Road between
Godshill and Rookley, Brownrigg’s Farm Shop
has a fine variety of meats, all home reared,
including beef, pork, lamb, chicken and
duck, as well as homemade sausages, beef
burgers and meat balls. A butcher is on site
on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays to help
you select your favourite choice and prepare it
ready for the oven. And of course a trip to the
shop would not be complete without buying
the famous free range Brownrigg eggs.
With 13 poly tunnels adjacent to the shop,
home grown fruit and vegetables will be
readily available throughout the spring and
summer months, including potatoes and
strawberries. And with only a few yards to
travel from growing area to selling counter, it
doesn’t get much fresher than the excellent
produce Brownrigg’s Farm Shop has on offer.
